To the exhibition A Strange Angel in Moscow
(June July 2001) :
In every work one can find his own subjects which probably
do not coinside with ideas or subjects of the author. It is remarcable, that
the exhibition gives the observer possibility of mental creative work even if
he does not know the creative methods.
In those German sculptures there is some Russian idea of what do we live for and what shall we do?. It is interesting to know, why it was Bulgakow, who gave it a push. Perhaps it is more obvious to them, who are looking at us at a distance, what exactly is happening to us.
Sergey Minuyev, journalist, Komsomolskaya Pravda
Nobody knows, what is Hell like, nobody knows, what is Heaven like, nobody knows if they exist at all... Everyone has his own idea about it, everyone sees, what he wants to see...
The exhibition is shining. There is something mystic in
it, something from the other world... the pictures look as if they were reality,
seen through the magic glass... you see energy, coming from different subjects,
things, beings.
Only this morning I didnt suppose, I would get into such a story. The decision to find
Bulgakovs house came all of a sudden. I found the way without
any effort, and here was this exhibition, museum, the house itself. This is
absolutely irreal. Ive always been fond of Bulgakov, and here the things Ive
read about, became real. All that gives me the creeps. Absolutely mystic.
The works have absorbed so much warmth and fantasy, that they seem to be done by children.
Sergey Semenyuk, musician, teacher of music
Vanguardistic! Must have taken much time to plane. Only Begemot
is much too thin. Just the ordinary snags, but they seem very true to Bulgakov.
The composition I shall be silent is the most memorable
one, only it does not seem silent, on the opposite, it is shouting.
Irina, student of the journalistic dept., Moscow University
I like, that you do not remind one of anybody else, Bouchons
style. You posess a very strong energetic charge.
Here I saw Bulgakow from a different point of view. Wooden sculptures make an impression of movement, warmth, mystery. Incomparable gouache paintings have very good colour!
Nonna Zakharovich, designer, chief painter, Trechgornaya
Manufactura
Reading Bulgakov over and over, I kept thinking, how his
heroes could be depicted. Up to now, I found no answer. I am very grateful to
you, that youve helped me to understand what I had been looking for.
Nastya Kostaryova, student of the Fine Arts institute
Im very grateful to these creative artists, for my non-disappointmet
at their embodiment of Bulgakovs motives.
I felt myself a child.
Mikhail Kornishin, guitarist
Unforgettable day was filled with mystic works. Tremendous
feeling.
Wonderful, remarcable, especially when you hear about the outstanding fate of the scientist Nina, in whom there has always been Gods gift of a wonderful seeing everything obvious and deeply hid. Wishing you eternal movement and happiness.
